Cheryl Eckl is an award-winning author, speaker, and life transitions expert who is known for her sparkling zest for life. As a former singer and actress, she delivers her practical wisdom with intelligence, humor, and real-life stories. After the death of her husband in 2008, wrote three books about her experiences with loss and renewal. Along the way, she developed The LIGHT Process—the innovative system of inquiry that is now the core of her work—as a way to transform her own bereavement into a life of spiritual connection, inspiration, calm presence and deep intuitive knowing. An avid student of Transpersonal, Integral and Jungian psychology, Qi Gong, Whole Brain Technology, and the Enneagram, Cheryl lives in Bozeman, Montana, where she loves to ride horses to maintain life balance. There is so much confusion in today’s modern culture about what grief is, how it functions, what it means, and how to work with its waves of emotion that can feel both primitive and irrational. Bringing clarity, hope and compassion to the grief experience is the purpose of this retreat.

Grief is stunning in its ability to unmoor us from our familiar habitation. But that does not mean we cannot learn to navigate by its compass. This is where Cheryl Eckl’s innovative approach comes to our aid. By asking five simple but insight-provoking questions, we begin to realize that life has not left us comfortless. And we see how our True Self can access the answers to grief’s conundrums through inner communion and a desire to partner with Spirit as we emerge from the deepest caverns of loss.

Men and women of any age who have done some personal growth work and who want to do more—particularly as it relates to their own experience of loss and grief. Self-actualizers who are ready to discover fresh insights into their natural ability to transform loss into new life. People who enjoy learning from the experiences and perspectives of others in a safe, mutually enhancing environment of compassionate exploration.

Please note: This program is not a substitute for clinical therapy for the treatment of severe trauma, PTSD, clinical depression, etc. The focus is spiritual personal development.

Registration and Fees

Prices are all inclusive unless otherwise indicated. Regular Fee is for a private room. You can save on your room rate by bringing someone with you (see below for Share and Save). It also helps us when you share a room because we have limited room availability. (only 12 rooms or 24 beds.) This allows more people to join in!

There will be an $15.00 materials fee to be paid to the facilitator. Cheryl will accept cash, check or credit card.

Share a room with a friend or partner and make your stay more affordable.

You and your roommate must register at the same time to take advantage of this discounted rate.

The Mandala Center cannot guarantee shared accommodations. If you wish to share a room, and do not have a roommate, please ask to be placed on our roommate waiting list. However, if you do not have a roommate at the time of registration you must pay the private room rate. If a roommate is found you will be reimbursed the appropriate amount.

You may pay by credit card (visa or mastercard) over the phone or send in a check or money order within 10 days of registration payable to The Mandala Center. (PO Box 158 Des Moines New Mexico 88418) Payment in full is expected at the time of registration. Space is not held until payment is arranged.

Do you have a spouse or friend who would like to come on retreat but NOT attend the workshop with you? Call us for prices for lodging and meals only and bring them along!

Please register early if you are interested in a workshop. Workshops may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.

Check in Information

Check-in begins at 3 p.m. on the first day of your workshop unless otherwise noted in workshop schedule. If you wish to arrive early, or would like to extend your stay, please contact us. We offer a 15% on lodging for additional nights. Our staff will assist you with registration and see you to your roomsl. Dinner is generally at 6 p.m. preceded by a brief orientation. An evening introduction session with your workshop instructor will follow dinner. Workshop leaders will establish the daily routines/sessions with you. Workshops generally end at lunch time on the final day (usually Sunday). We ask guests to be out of their rooms by 12 p.m. on the day of departure.

Cancellation Policies

Our fees and cancellation policies are subject to change at any time without notice.

Although it is our desire that all programs are successful, circumstances do arise that lead to a need for cancellation. The Mandala Center reserves the right to cancel a program at any time. If The Mandala Center cancels a program you will receive a full refund on the program and accommodation fees. We are not responsible for travel expenses incurred due to cancellations.

Cancellations prior to 30 days: full refund minus a $75 processing fee.

Cancellations made within 15-30 prior: 50% refund of total fee OR a non-refundable credit for the full amount transferable to any future program or stay within one year of issue minus a $150 processing fee. (note: a gift certificate will be issued for credit and must be presented/mentioned upon registration for future event/stay to receive credit.)

Cancellations 8 - 14 days prior: 25% refund of total fee.

Cancellations 7 days or less prior: No refunds are issued.
